This project was done for the purpose of my Communication Design & Multimedia course Final Project at ETIC_Algarve. The main objective of the project was to create a cohesive visual image and communication for the Portuguese Red Cross Faro-Loulé delegation services and projects. Apply the new strategy in a campaign focused on the eldercare service and use it as a starting point for the improvement of the communication from the remaining services.

A COHESIVE REPRESENTATION
OF THE DELEGATION SERVICES
Portuguese Red Cross Faro-Loulé delegation was having a problem on representing their services in a cohesive way within the major brand of Red Cross. Social service, psychosocial phone line, volunteering, eldercare service among others were representations out of the brand guidelines what was generating communication problems. To solve this, a pack of new logos for these services was done together with a brand manual for the sub brands of the delegation.
ELDERCARE CAMPAIGN
The campaign lies on the Eldercare service, a social service from the Portguese Red Cross Faro-Loulé Delegation who has the objective of helping the elder people in accomplishing their day-by-day tasks when these people can no longer do it by themselves. Eldercare service was the one facing most difficulties on communicating with the audience, there are a lot of informal caregivers that don’t know about the delegation service and how they can help on taking care of your most beloved ones. In the other hand, there is also the necessity of recruiting more professional assistants for this service.
The campaign’s concept is to reach the population through collecting testimonials and photographies from real users of the service and caregivers from the service, reflecting transparency and proximity, consequently generating reliability and interest. It operated in two axes, the first one, targeted to the users and their families, having the objective of generating more interest on joining the service. The second, through combining users and caregiver’s photographies, it had also the objective to recrute more professional caregivers to join the team.
The campaign was conducted in both physical and digital supports.






INSTITUTIONAL VIDEO
To help raising awareness for the different delegation services, I directed and edited the institutional video for the delegation in which all services are presented by the President of the Portuguese Red Cross Faro-Loulé Delegation, Dora Luis. To conclude, the Emergency department is also highlighted in the video where Omar Baldé, responsible for the Emergency department gives his testimonial of what is their day-by-day work.

DIGITAL PRODUCT
AND 3D SMARTWATCH
In a speculative way I designed and prototyped a digital product with the objective of unifying the services from Portuguese Red Cross within an application. With an emergency button for the elders to press and a back-office that offers their family caregivers to track and control their familiars health condition.
To support the application, I modelled a 3D SmartWatch that would work in synergy with the application. This watch would only be used by professionals of the Emergency Area of the Portuguese Red Cross where they would instantly receive emergency calls when the button is pressed by the elder through the app.
